I'm an avid admirer and collector of all kinds of fairytales, legends and myths.
Most often I try to express my thoughts and feelings through painting and drawing, but recently I delight in trying out other branches of art. Currently, my new "obsessions" focus on working with soapstone and wool.
For quite some time I tried very hard to produce art that was liked to the point where I lost my inspiration and joy and stopped drawing and painting and anything else altogether. However, not drawing is something that weighs heavily on me, since subdueing the urge to do so feels just plain wrong.
In the end, I realized that there is only one rule in art: There are no rules. Everything works that brings joy and passion to you. So I started again. And doesn't it feel great?
" Great hail! we cry to the comers
From the dazzling unknown shore;
Bring us hither your sun and your summers;
And renew our world as of yore;
You shall teach us your song's new numbers,
And things that we dreamed not before:
Yea, in spite of a dreamer who slumbers,
And a singer who sings no more."
Arthur O'Shaughnessy - Ode
